I'm a Uruguayan native, raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I've been part of Foodshed Cooperative since its inception in 2020 amid the pandemic, my current position is Climate Resilience Specialist in the Farmer Resource Hub and the Program Coordinator for the Climate Smart Incentive Program. I was involved in the Carbon Sink Incentive Demonstration Project which allowed us to be awarded the Climate Smart Commodities Federal Grant. I work directly with farmers and our program partners, managing and coordinating grant deliverables and reporting, and overseeing Soil Health Assessments and practice implementation activities. I am a lifelong learner, my background is in Media Arts and Web Technologies, since moving to SD I've been gaining knowledge in farming with Wild Willow Farm programs, and in-depth field experience at Solidarity Farm. I'm a Permaculture Designer, I received Carbon Farm Plan certification from Carbon Cycle Institute and am currently a student in the Technical Service Provider Professional Course Series at CSU Chico Center for Regenerative Agriculture. I'm a voting member of The California Food & Farming Network, which is building a movement centered on racial equity to transform the food and farming system through state policies.
My areas of interest include soil health, agroecology, water conservation, food justice, natural building, permaculture, community building, and
regenerative agriculture.
