Regenesis and Terra-Genesis International

It's been a 45 year journey in the green building movement - from passive solar energy, to whole building/site systems and co-founding the LEED rating system, working the integrative design process to be more effective in this work, then expanding the impact through shelter and infrastructure development as acupuncture points with communities to harmonize human and other-than-human life in co-evolutionary relationship. Ultimately, the effectiveness in this work comes from the foundation of relationship-building and deep caring. Climate destabilization is not just about carbon. Its a whole system of life that address these issues.

From our experience, some of the most effective and long-lasting leverage points for systemic transformation are in the places we inhabit. It's difficult and too abstract to invite people to 'save the earth.' However, as Elinor Ostrom demonstrated, we can save our places. Regenerating (ongoing evolutionary relationship-building) our places is a perspective that animates our practice.
