USDA NRCS Working Lands for Wildlife
Over 34 years as a federal employee leading planning and delivery of regional habitat restoration partnerships across large landscapes in a diversity of ecosystems from coastal wetlands to native grasslands to bottomland forested wetlands to Appalachian streams. Ten years guiding development of applied science products that inform regional landscape conservation in a manner that strategically implements on-the-ground conservation while simultaneously measuring long-term outcomes for species recovery, landscape conservation, and economic objectives. Served on a variety of task force and think-tank groups guiding federal agency policies related to specific regional landscape conservation plans, prioritization of conservation science needs, and climate change adaptation planning. Recent focus on developing connectivity partnerships guided by integrated connectivity-species models to connect grasslands across North America and restore resiliency for declining grassland wildlife.
