Agroforestry Northwest
Carrie is the Executive Director of Agroforestry Northwest and works to advance agroforestry throughout the Puget Sound and beyond in her role. She is passionate about agroforestry as a solution to competing land use, climate adaptation & mitigation, and working land resilience. Carrie specializes in agroecological systems, multifunctional riparian forest buffers, forest farming/food forests, and alley cropping. Recent work includes exploring decolonization models around working lands in the PNW, increasing resources to local Tribes around tribal agroforestry, and how local and regional markets can be strengthened around food, medicines, and materials.
