Casey Reese

National Park Service

Casey serves as the Northeast Regional Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Coordinator, overseeing several programs, including the regional Invasive Plant Management Teams, Forest Health Protection, Structural and Landscape IPM, and Pesticide Use. Since joining the NPS in 2000, he has held various positions, such as Natural Resources Manager for the Appalachian National Scenic Trail and Regional Wildlife Biologist. In collaboration with Dr. Dorothy Borowy, Casey helped secure over $12 million in funding from the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL), and the National Park Foundation to support grassland restoration in Eastern National Parks. This project seeks to restore up to 4,000 acres across some of the East’s most iconic landscapes, stretching from Mississippi to New Hampshire.
