I'm an educator and climate change consultant with experience in government, inside two Fortune 500 companies, and in the nonprofit sector. My first job out of college was working for the public radio program "Living on Earth". After a five year stint with the National Outdoor Leadership School and a masters' degree program in environmental management at Yale, I switched to more analytic problem-solving at Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), a Colorado-based “think-and-do tank” led by energy efficiency guru Amory Lovins. I then tried to apply some of RMI's ideas inside the corporate world, first at Yahoo, then Amazon. More recently I was director of Climate Action at the city of Seattle and head of Business Partnerships at Climate Interactive. I'm interested in big mitigation solutions and systems thinking for radical change in the fight against climate change.
