I am an enthusiastic first-generation regenerative farmer from outside Boston, MA but now call South Carolina home. My husband, Trey (fourth generation cowboy from northeastern CA), and I purchased a 'forgotten' timber tract in 2020 and are converting it to silvopasture for cattle. Wanting to learn everything I could about managing a farm business, I went back to school and earned a B.S. in Agricultural Business from Fort Hays State University. I also completed the SC New and Beginning Farmer Program, the SC Dept. of Ag's ACRE's Agribusiness Planning Curriculum and Advanced Entrepreneurship Program, and recently the Master Tree Farmer Program offered by Clemson University. Over the past four years, and with the help of our two daughters, we have built fences, a livestock handling facility, installed power and water, and introduced cattle. Identifying a gap in knowledge among industry professionals and livestock producers, I started and serve as President of the SC Regenerative Livestock Producer's Network, a non-profit organization aimed at providing education to livestock producers about adopting regenerative farming practices. I am also the Vice President of the SC Chapter of the Farmer Veteran Coalition and the Women's Committee Chair for the Colleton County Farm Bureau. I've spoken at a number of conferences throughout the state about silvopasture and have partnered with Clemson University for a number of graduate research studies. I've written and been awarded six grants for our personal farming business and we are working towards my husband working on-farm full time by 2026, supported by our beef sales.

Outside of farming, I am an active-duty military officer with a background in engineering, project/program management, and acquisitions. I earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and have a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
