Dan Herms

Vice President, Research & Development, Davey Tree

Dan Herms is Vice President of Research and Development at The Davey Tree Expert Company where he oversees their strategic research agenda, laboratories, and technical services. Prior to joining Davey, he was a professor at Ohio State University for 21 years where he was a member of the OSU Climate Change Outreach Team.

Throughout his career, his research, teaching, and outreach programs have focused on the ecology and management of trees including interactions with insects, soils, and climate. Herms is an elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
