Huyen Nguyen

Retreat Coordinator

Huyen brings a breadth of experience spanning 20 years primarily in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Understanding that systems change sits in the crux of a multitude of intersecting issues, she aims to bring a holistic lens to bridge and connect these interdependent fields to create sustainable, equitable, and impactful solutions.  She finds joy and fulfillment gathering people to further advance meaningful work.

As a Retreat Coordinator with VCI, Huyen leads logistical details to ensure successful retreats, and collaborates with the team on program and operational development.

Prior to joining VCI, Huyen worked within her local community supporting organizations providing integrative therapeutic and early education services for unhoused families, nutritious meals for chronically ill patients, and compassionate hospice care for low-income individuals. She also spent six fond years with the Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems Funders, whose mission amplifies the impact of philanthropic and investment communities in support of just and sustainable food & agriculture systems.
