Jacqueline Kozak Thiel

Program Lead

Jacqueline Kozak Thiel loves to work in kinship with fellow humans and nature on mutual wellbeing. She has been part of the climate and sustainability movements for over 20 years with frontline communities, on policy, in local government and global philanthropy, and as a leader of coalitions. Her roles have included serving as the Governor's Sustainability Director for the State of Hawaii, Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Fort Collins, and Global Programs Director for Bohemian Foundation. She finds joy in bringing diverse leaders together to imagine and implement for enduring impact. She taught meditation to fellow public servants for years, including during the pandemic emergency response. She lives with her multigenerational family in Colorado. Her children often remind her to be present to the wonder of this Earth while also further inspiring the urgent work of planetary healing for the sake of all future generations and living beings. She can often be found riding the bike trails with her kids on the back cargo seat. Her family feels most at home when they are camping under the stars in wild quiet places.
