Foment

Much of my work-life has been unfolding in the roles of facilitator and executive, working at the intersection of values-based finance, food and culture. What is most animating me now about climate, education and collaboration is inspired by the Gary Snyder quote: ""If you want to save the world, don't save it out of [fear or] guilt, save it because you love it!"". So I'm most curious about exploring our innate and intimate relationship with nature and the wild, as a source of nourishment, creativity, and inspiration. This exploration has emerged in two forms first, through Wander Wild Programs where we invite participants into a ""non-doing"" mindset and to wander alone in natural landscapes. Second, as a facilitator/executive working on pre-competitive, collaborative programs to accelerate the transition to regenerative agriculture, by focusing on supporting farmers as they reimagine their relationship to their land, their soil and their communities. I recognize that all these ways have been known and practiced by indigenous people since time immemorial, and that I have benefited in so many ways from systems of oppression and white supremacy.
