JILL SOURIEL
LA County Parks and Recreation Department
Jill Sourial is the Deputy Director for the Planning and Development Agency at Los Angeles County, Department of Parks and Recreation. In this capacity she oversees capital projects as well as policy and planning for the Department.
Prior to joining the County, Jill was the Urban Conservation Director for The Nature Conservancy’s California Chapter where she focused on catalyzing natural infrastructure in the Greater Los Angeles region through the integration of science, policy, and financing expertise.
Ms. Sourial was staff for over 8 years to former Los Angeles City Councilmember Ed Reyes and was instrumental in the development, adoption, and implementation of the City’s Los Angeles River Revitalization Master Plan.
Jill holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning from UCLA. In her spare time you will find her enjoying nature: hiking, camping, walking in her Koreatown neighborhood, or tending her garden.
