Cornell Lab - Center for Conservation Media

I represent the team at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Center for Conservation Media, a unit established to provide scientific and cultural knowledge in compelling forms to inform critical decisions and inspire action. Our ‘theory of service’ is centered on the understanding that environmental conservation is essentially a form of individual and collective will and that we can be of greatest service by supporting the ‘agents of change’ that will create lasting conservation: the communities, cultures, organizations, and agencies around the world dedicated to their respective issues. With the loss of native grasslands and associated biodiversity across North America over the last fifty years, the Lab is turning its scientific and communications resources to support regional leader’s efforts to halt those declines.
