Julie Rentner
River Partners
Julie leads a team of over 100 farmers, scientists, and administrators to deliver large-scale habitat restoration projects that improve conditions for people and the environment. From Redding to Bakersfield and in Southern California, the team at River Partners specializes in re-wilding marginal farmland for endangered species recovery. Over 20,000 riverside acres have been restored since 1998, and some of these restored areas have gone on to become national wildlife refuges and parks, including our newest California State Park- Dos Rios State Park. Driven by the twin crises of biodiversity loss and climate change, River Partners works to inspire a new future for water management that values sustainability and inclusion. A California native, Julie studied forestry and soil science and has learned about nonprofit leadership and management through experience. She was honored to participate in cohort 2 of the Water Stewardship Network and class 44 of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
