Julie Sibbing

Julie M. Sibbing is NWF’s Associate Vice President for Land Stewardship. On the NWF staff since 2000, Julie manages NWF’s work to improve sustainability, wildlife habitat and carbon storage on working agricultural and forest lands. She manages a team that focusses on improving the sustainability and carbon accounting of biofuels and bioenergy; advocating for more robust conservation provisions in the farm bill, promoting conservation of America’s declining grasslands; and working to improve outreach to agricultural producers to promote adoption of sustainable practices. Her interest in agroforestry focuses on its potential to diversify cropping systems and improve the carbon footprint of agriculture, while ensuring against impacts to biodiversity. Julie holds a B.S. in Ecology, Ethology and Evolution and an M.S. in Forest Ecology from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana.
