Katharine millonzi
Volgenau Climate Initiative
Katharine is passionate about working with innovators to build regenerative ecological and social systems. She has developed, managed, and consulted start-ups, academic programs, and philanthropic ventures on many food and agricultural-based programs designed to reconnect us to the natural world.
In her role, Katharine draws upon her core belief in the power of regenerative hospitality, and her love of designing purposeful gatherings. She is informed by her teachers from a range of lineages, her work as a facilitator and coach, and her training across somatic practices.
Prior to joining VCI, Katharine served as managing director of Pleiades Network, a national constellation of women changemakers. Katharine spent years supporting the sustainable tourism sector through research and impact work with Yale University, UVM, Regenerative Travel, and Hudson Carbon. She was chief of staff at the New Economics Institute, and spent a year in the Balkans on assignment for Rockefeller Brothers Fund. An ethnobotanist and gastronome, she has worked with place-based knowledge keepers in Kenya, India, Brazil, and across Europe. Katharine was a 2014 Tedx speaker and a 2007 Fulbright Fellow in Italy.
