KRISTIN COATES

I am presently working on two diet + climate projects. One is focused on creating living models in 6 cities across the globe to shape a regenerative, accessible, and nutritious food system with a focus on entrepreneurism and policy. The other is creating California's first regenerative economy in the county of Monterey, considered the "salad bowl of America." In both cases, the focus is on working at a regional level to show what is possible, rather than talk about it. Our Theory of Change is focused on building relational wealth. In other words, focus on building strength in relationships through collaboration, open communication, listening, and action. Having worked in systems change for nearly 25 years, I have seen first hand that the investment in relationships and connection far exceed almost any new technology or policy. To reshape our food systems to be nourising for people and planet, my focus is in supporting people at the regional level to take action together.
