Lucas Patzek
North Bay Soil and Climate Hub; Napa RCD
Lucas Patzek has served as the Executive Director of the Napa County Resource Conservation District (Napa RCD) since 2018. In this role he has been committed to bolstering regional collaboration among RCDs, nonprofits, and other organizations to more effectively and efficiently design and deliver natural resource programs. This has included building the capacity of the North Coast Soil Hub and other regional agricultural programs. Prior to Napa RCD, Lucas served as a County Director and Agriculture & Natural Resource Faculty with Washington State University Extension, Associate Executive Director of the non-profit Ag Innovations, and Senior Program Manager for PG&E’s local government energy efficiency programs. He has also consulted on sustainable agriculture projects in Algeria, Cambodia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Lucas earned a Ph.D. in Crop Science from Washington State University, and a B.S. in Biology from University of California, Santa Cruz.
