Lydia Scott

Director, Chicago Region Trees Initiative, The Morton Arboretum

Lydia Scott is the Director of the Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI), founded by The Morton Arboretum. CRTI is a coalition of organizations (government, community groups, corporations, and others) that covers the seven-county Chicago metro area. CRTI’s focus is improved human and environmental health through a healthy, diverse, and equitably distributed urban forest.

Lydia worked in the public sector for nearly 20 years and has worked at The Morton Arboretum for the last 10 years. She has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Illinois.
