Marcus Grignon or Kes Pih Soh Mekek (Swift Otter) is an enrolled member of the Menominee Tribe in Wisconsin. He holds a double Associate’s degree in Tribal Law and Sustainable Development from the College of Menominee Nation and a Bachelor’s degree in Democracy and Justice Studies with a minor in First Nations Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He has devoted the last 15 years to the Climate Change movement to preserve Menominee culture. Utilizing the Menominee culture, Marcus is working on developing an agroforestry model for his community by integrating industrial hemp to support forest system regeneration.
