I grew up playing in the sand and surf on both sides of the Arabian Peninsula, and then on the edges of eastern forests and city streets in the Washington, DC metro area. My interests lie at the intersection of cities & nature, art & science, East & West, and so on.

My teaching, coaching, and facilitation focuses on strengthening our internal capacity to meet the complexity and uncertainty of our current social and ecological challenges with a clear-eyed, creative, and compassionate response that connects mind and heart.

I'm a PhD student in Transdisciplinary Leadership for Creativity & Sustainability and (former) lecturer at the University of Vermont, a Senior Fellow and coach with the Environmental Leadership Program, and an affiliated trainer and mentor with Coaching for Healing, Justice, and Liberation.
