Morgan Franklin

US Endowment for Forestry and Communities

Morgan Franklin serves as Program Coordinator at the U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities. In this role, she coordinates program activities and supports grant and contract management. Previously, Morgan worked with Thompson Appalachian Hardwoods, a hardwoods sawmill in rural Tennessee. Throughout her time there, she specialized in grant administration and operational analytics spanning from log consumption to lumber production. Her time in this field grew into working alongside the U.S. Endowment through one of their initiatives, ForesTrust. In this role, she helped pilot a tracking and tracing program through the connections of TAH, Chainparency, and the Endowment, which tracks logs from the forest through the supply chain. It was through her efforts within the industry that she became dedicated to advocating for active forest management and environmental stewardship, while also ensuring local initiatives and market access to maintain supply chain stability.
