I direct our family philanthropic foundation, which invests in conservation projects in the United States and internationally. We have long considered grasslands to be an overlooked area in terms of biodiversity conservation and are actively supporting a number of grassland initiatives including in the American Southeast and Rocky Mountain West, East Africa and South America. The projects we fund are varied in nature and involve research, education, communications and on-the-ground conservation and restoration of grassland ecosystems.
