MEarth Carmel

I'm a first-generation American with roots on the beautiful island of St. Lucia and a passionate and committed interdisciplinary scientist and outdoor educator. After working internationally and multiple environmental organizations, I found my passion for environmental education and chose to pursue a Masters of Science in Education, focusing on creating equity in outdoor education using culturally responsive pedagogies. I now work as a Program Director for a non-profit organization which aims to educate and inspire through environmental stewardship. I believe that education and community engagement is an invaluable tenant to increasing conservation efforts, public awareness, maintaining our local ecosystems, and growing the next generation of climate leaders. More so, I believe in creating generative spaces where a diverse group of people can think and grow as stewards. I look forward to future opportunities where I can support the development of collaborative coalitions which integrate local art, culture, service, and leadership.
