No Regrets Initiative

After spending 25 years in the tech world, I became a rancher in 2001 and have been managing Paicines Ranch in central California since then. Taking lessons learned on the land and in the broader ag community, in 2016 I founded the no Regrets Initiative. This 15-year initiative seeks to use an integrated capital approach to regenerate the agricultural soils of North America and the rural communities who steward them. We see an agriculture that works for and with life as a source of climate mitigation and adaptation and well as important for water quality, nutrition, and health of the people and planet. Our work has been national since the founding of the initiative, but the final five years of the initiative will be focused on New Mexico and the west coast of the US.
