I taught Native American Literature for over thirty years, designed and implemented courses in Native Studies, and continue to be an active community member associated with Native groups in my area. Now retired from teaching, I'm writing, and recently co-edited (with Dahr Jamail) We Are The Middle Of Forever: Indigenous Voices From Turtle Island On The Changing Earth, interviews with eleven women and nine men on the changes at the heart of this retreat.
