Hudson Valley Affordable Housing & Conservation Strategy

I come to this conversation as a former lawyer, and former land conservationist, seeking to create cross-sector relationships and policies that will result in a more equitable and climate-forward region. For 30+ years, I was fortunate to lead Scenic Hudson's land trust and programs including river cities, policy, science and advocacy, and I served for nine years on the national board of the Land Trust Alliance. I authored the NYC/Hudson Valley Foodshed Conservation Plan ( See Resources) and feel strongly about the power of working at a regional scale.

I'm currently co-convening the Hudson Valley Affordable Housing & Conservation Strategy, bringing together ten organizations to build mutual support and collaboration to demonstrate that a healthy region can (and must) have both ample affordable housing and protected land that supports clean water, food production, climate resilience, and outdoor access. I'm excited about this opportunity to make our dynamic Hudson Valley a better place.
