Vinamra Mathur

Vinamra has more than a decade of experience working on issues at the intersection of forest conservation and policy, which includes forest governance, ecosystem services evaluation, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and frontline communities. He has previously worked with the Nature Conservancy in Southeast Asia, focusing on improving timber legality and certification supply chain, as well as restoration efforts. Vinamra holds a Master's in Environmental Governance from the United Nations University in Tokyo and a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester. He currently works at the Nature for Development Program at UNDP focusing on forest monitoring and mapping for indigenous communities. Before joining UNDP he worked as a Regional Director for Youth4Nature a for youth by youth organization promoting youth advocacy and capacity building in the Asia Pacific region.
